- Associate Professor of Radiology in the Department of Radiological Sciences of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Since December 2004 he is director of “Advanced Technologies in Diagnostic Imaging” unit in Latina.

- Winner of the awards of the Italian Radiological Society (1996, 2000 and 2003), the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) (1997) and the “Mallinckrodt research grant” of the Research & Education Fund of the ECR (2001). In 2005 he received the Editor’s recognition award of Radiology.

- He is currently reviewer for the following journals: European Radiology (from 2002); La Radiologia Medica (from 2002); Radiology (from 2003); Investigative Radiology (from 2003); Journal of Computed Assisted Tomography (from 2003), American Journal of Roentgenology (from 2004), Lancet (from 2004), Gastroenterology (from 2006).
